Sherwin Williams Distribution Center

Location Waco, Texas Year 2016 Client Bob Moore Construction
Sherwin Williams: A model of the safety and security that can be built into a tilt-up building.

A 615,000-square-foot distribution center built in 166 days? Seems unlikely, until you visit the Sherwin Williams Distribution Service Center. What’s even more impressive are the sustainability and green initiatives that went into development. In addition to the warehouse area, the facility boasts 60,000 square feet of liquid cutoff room for storage of environmentally sensitive liquids, capable of containing large industrial spills up to 1.5 million gallons, plus a 20,000-square-foot building separate from the facility for highly flammable storage. The environmental and fire protection controls of this facility include a full foam sprinkler system. The building is not just a model of what a dedicated work force can achieve in less than half a year, it’s an example of a conscious business using its customers and the environment as their driving forces for success.
